On the Empire episode “Sinned Against,” Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) has a lot on her plate. She has to deal with her sneaky concert promoter/lover Laz (Adam Rodriguez) and she needs to team up with her sister Candace (Vivica A. Fox) in order to save their sister Carol. Cookie and Candace hire Cookie’s old prison cellmate Pepper O’Leary (Rosie O’Donnell). Meanwhile, gay marketing executive Jameson Hinthrop is supposedly looking out for her son Jamal (Jussie Smollett) who’s tired of being promoted as a gay artist.
