On the NCIS episode “Blood Brothers,” the team has been called by the Secretary of Defense to help find a bone marrow transplant for a sailor who’s battling leukemia. Meanwhile Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) returns home to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving. Gibbs (Mark Harmon) comes along. One thing Bishop doesn’t want to talk about at the dinner table is her marriage to NSA lawyer Jake Malloy.
Bishop’s mother Barbara is portrayed by Lindsay Wagner. She is best known for her role as The Bionic Woman (Jaime Sommers), for which she won an Emmy Award. She’s also recognized for her roles on Warehouse 13 (Dr. Vanesssa Calder), Jessie (Dr. Jessie Hayden), The Six Million Dollar Man (Jaime Sommers), and Marcus Welby, MD (Susan Davis). NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
