Taya Kyle is the widow of Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL who wrote American Sniper which Clint Eastwood turned into a movie. Taya has shared her painful life story with and without Chris in her memoir, American Wife: A Memoir of Love, War, Faith, and Renewal. But America will soon see a softer side of Taya. At least for one night. Taya Kyle will join former Miss America turned Hollywood/Broadway actress Vanessa Williams as a judge at the 2016 Miss America Competition which will broadcast live on September 13 at 8pm on NBC.
Taya Kyle isn’t afraid to be in front of TV cameras. She often appears on Fox to air her political opinions. On Hillary Clinton, Kyle said: “The fact that we’re talking about Hillary Clinton doing anything, especially leading our country, is so frustrating to me, because of her lack of morality, because of her lack of concern and compassion… God forbid if she got elected (President of the United States).” And on Donald Trump, she said: “It makes me wonder. Does he not know the issues well enough? Is he not well-versed enough on international politics and current issues facing the United States?” In May, she showed her support for presidential candidate Rick Perry but now that he’s out of the race, Kyle has shifted her support to Ted Cruz.
The respect to Mr & Mrs Perry shown by Mr Cruz is wonderful. Thank-you for the support shown to our veterans and… http://t.co/hN8X481vXU
