Rapper Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson is the producer of the TV drama Power on Starz. The protagonist is James St. Patrick, aka “Ghost.” He owns a popular nightclub in New York City and is a big time player in a big time drug ring. He wants to leave the drug world and pursue his legitimate business but that’s not an easy path to follow.
Ghost is portrayed by Omari Hardwick. He’s best known for his roles on BET’s Being Mary Jane with Gabrielle Union, Tyler Perry’s film For Colored Girls, and Spike Lee’s Miracle at St. Anna. Fun fact: Before becoming an actor, Hardwick played football at the University Georgia (on a scholarship). He wasn’t selected in the NFL draft but did try to make it on the San Diego Chargers team. He did not. The second season of Power premieres June 6 at 9pm on Starz.
