It’s been 32 years since Billy Idol hit gold with his song White Wedding but he can still belt it out. He proved it at the Winter Classic in Washington, D.C. this week. (The NHL’s Washington Capitals beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2.) Sure Idol looks different — his face is like puddy — but he can still hit the high notes.
You don’t have to watch the whole video — slide it to 1:36. As the announcer says at the end of the clip, “Billy Idol does bring the energy. The crowd is fired up.” Idol isn’t retiring anytime soon. The 59-year-old just wrote his memoir, Dancing With Myself, and dropped a new album, Kings & Queens of the Underground.
