Kelly Osbourne, co-host of E! Fashion Police and daughter of the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne, wanted to honor the late great Joan Rivers, so she got a tattoo on her shoulder…of a bee. If you think about it, there’s a few reasons a bee makse sense. First of all Joan Rivers was so good at zinging people. But that’s not why Osbourne chose the stinging insect.
Osbourne explained on Instagram that “If you looked at aerodynamics, at science, the bumble bee should not be able to fly. Physically, it was just not anatomically equipped to soar. Yet it did, defying gravity, defying logic. The bee was a creature that defied and beat the odds, a miracle.” What added to the confusion was the photo – it appears to be the outline of a bee. There’s no color to it yet which makes the insect difficult to decipher from say a small Japanese character. Ask stephaniers72 said in her comment: “I’m confused. It look like a burn with peeling skin.” We’re all confused, steph. But Kelly Osbourne is reaching for some metaphorical greatness there, no doubt. Gotta appreciate that.
