There are nine pairs of loved ones competing on CBS’s 29th season of Survivor. The castaways include father and son firefighters, actors, models and even a couple of retired professional athletes including MLB player John Rocker with his model girlfriend Julie McGee. (McGee also owns a spray-tan business.)
Keep an eye on Rocker, the former relief pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He will certainly ruffle some feathers; he’s the ball player who made crude/hateful comments about the diversity of people who ride New York City’s 7 train (it was during the World Series, he was playing against the Yankees). And he writes a regular column for the right-wing website WorldNetDaily, which published his article “Water Is NOT A Human Right.” Survivor San Juan del Sur Blood vs. Water will premiere on Septembr 24.
