Actor and director Alex Winter (Bill of the film Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure) said in an interview that he will co-star with Keanu Reeves for Bill & Ted 3. It’s been 23 years since the 1991 sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, which starred Winter and Reeves and the late comedian George Carlin. Movie critic Robert Ebert gave the film 3 out of a possible 4 stars, writing, “It’s the kind of movie where you start out snickering in spite of yourself, and end up actually admiring the originality that went into creating this hallucinatory slapstick.” (He didn’t see or review the first film.)
So what will be different this time around? A lot. Winter says “[Bill and Ted] will be 40-something and it’s all about Bil land Ted grown up, or not grown up,” he told Yahoo Movies. “It’s really sweet and really f—ing funny.”
