Jessica Simpson brought attention to her younger sister Ashlee’s engagement to Evan Ross, son of Motown singer Diana, by rocking a hot bathing suit at Ashlee’s bridal shower. No one remembers what Ashlee wore. Maybe Ashlee is okay with that or maybe she’s working on a big project to make big sis the forgettable one. Ashlee did have a singing career. Her last album, Bittersweet World, was released in 2008 but it didn’t sell well. And then she tried acting. She played Violet Foster in the CW’s revised version of Melrose Rose. But Violet was soon killed off.
What’s next for Ashlee Simpson remains a mystery but it’s not for her new husband Evan (they got married this weekend at Diana Ross’ house in Connecticut). The acting career of Evan Ross is on the rise. After his role on the revised version of TV series 90210, he landed the role of Dallas Austin in the TV movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. But his latest and greatest role yet is to be seen. Ross will play Messalla in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 and Part 2.
