Golden Globe winning actor Idris Elba (The Wire, No Good Deed) directed a 30-minute VH1 special featuring R&B singer K. Michelle. The show Rebellious Soul: The Musical features songs from Michelle’s first album Rebellious Soul. The special made its debut last week but will air again Tuesday, August 26.
Michelle gained notoriety in 2012 when she starred on the VH1 reality TV show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. She’s working on her second album which will be released later in the year. She’ll also star in her own reality TV show called K. Michelle: My Life. It will focus on the singer’s life as a mother. “I keep him very tucked away from TV,” Michelle said of her son, “but this’ll be the world’s first time getting a little piece of my heart, my little one.”
