Prison Break star Wentworth Miller has been cast as Captain Cold for The CW’s upcoming series The Flash. Captain Cold, a villain who doesn’t tolerate drug use or senseless violence, is ranked #27 on IGN’s list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time. As the leader of “The Rogues,” Leonard Snart (aka Captain Cold) is driven by money, women and the desire to beat Barry Allen (aka The Flash).
DC Comics’ Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns, told ScreenRant.com The Flash series is “probably the most faithful DC Comics adaption ever.” Johns has also admitted that Captain Cold – with all his freeze-rays and guns – is his favorite villain. As a child, one of the first comics he bought was The Flash – The Final Verdict! (#348). The Flash will premiere on The CW on October 7 at 8PM.
