Ryan Beard is the 18-year-old singer from Kansas City who’s competing on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. Before his audition, he tells the judges that he was homeschooled. “It wasn’t my choice,” says Beard. And then he admits he’s never had a girlfriend. Luckily, Beard has a good sense of humor about it, and writes and sings about his social life.
When Beard hits the keys of the piano and sings his original song “Ladies Man,” he sounds like the next Randy Newman. Beard oozes with charm and confidence on the stage, and nails the final lyric of “Ladies Man” — “Don’t go to prom with your mom.” Beard got four yeses at his audition. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays on NBC.
