In the Silicon Valley Season 3 premiere episode “Founder Friendly,” Richard (Thomas Middleditch) is pissed about being removed as CEO of Pied Piper. Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) and Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) aren’t sure what do to without Richard but Erlich (T.J. Miller) is doing just fine with the new boss, “Action” Jack Barker.
Action Jack Barker is portrayed by Stephen Tobolowsky. He’s known for his roles on The Goldbergs (Principal Ball), The Mindy Project (Marc Shulman), The Hotwives of Orlando (Phil), Californication (Stu Beggs), Glee (Sandy Ryerson), Heroes (Bob Bishop), Deadwood (Hugo Jarry), and CSI: Miami (ASA Dan Haffman), among many others. Tobolowsky is also recognized for his roles in the films Groundhog Day (Ned), Memento (Sammy Jankis), and Thelma & Louise (Max). Silicon Valley airs Sundays at 10pom on HBO.
