In the Season 8 premiere episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta “A New Dawn,” Stevie J. and his new wife Faith Evans Jordan are back in The A enjoying their newlywed life. Stevie J. says “We did rush to the altar but the decision wasn’t really spontaneous.” They’ve been friends for a long time. “The foundation is strong,” says Stevie J. Meanwhile, after a performance, Spice the Jamaican Queen of the Dancehall, sits down with her new BFF Tokyo Vanity and artist manager/developer Jevon “Vawn” Sims.

When Tokyo tells her “You look amazing,” Vawn (who has worked with The Dream and Jagged Edge among others) interrupts and says, “Not amazing yet.” He tells Spice: “You have the potential of being super big in my eyes.” He suggests that she “start from the beginning.” He explains, “Some things that work in Jamaica, might not work here.” When he suggests taking her look “to another level,” Spice get defensive. “I’m not changing nothing for nobody.”

This isn’t Vawn’s first time on TV. He was on Bravo’s reality show The New Atlanta in 2013. As an actor he’s known for his roles as T.K. in the TV series Saints & Sinners and as the Battle MC in the 2010 movie Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming. Love & Hip Hop Atlanta airs Mondays at 8 pm on VH1.
