The new reality TV show on TLC, Our Twinsane Wedding, features identical twins who are engaged to another set of identical twins. On the series premiere, Brittany and Briana Deane explain how they met their fiances, Josh and Jeremy Salyers. At an annual twin party/festival, Brittany saw the two men and grabbed Briana’s wrist, which is what they do when they’re really excited. Josh and Jeremy had seen them too and approached them right away.
The men thought Brittany and Briana were out of their league so they just asked them for a photo. But within 48 hours, the two couples had their first double date. Briana and Jeremy were instantly attracted to each other as were Brittany and Joshua. The men proposed on February 2 (02/02), a fitting date.
During the show, when a producer asks to see the rings, the women announce in sync, “To infinity!” and show their matching rings which are the double infinity symbols. As TLC says, “It’s a double fairytale wedding.” It’s just not something you see every day. The brides wore matching wedding gowns, the men in matching tuxedos. Both couples plan to live together and raise their children under one roof.
As Brittany says: “When we have children, my and Josh’s children will be genetic siblings to Briana and Jeremy’s children. Even though they’re cousins, they’re technically genetic siblings. We imagine it will be like two moms and two dads all raising our families together.” That’s twinsane! Our Twinsane Wedding airs Mondays at 10 pm on TLC.
