In the American Housewife episode “Highs and Lows,” when teenagers Oliver (Daniel DiMaggio) and Taylor (Meg Donnelly) complain about their love lives it makes married lady Katie (Katy Mixon) nostalgic for the days of being young and in love. When Katie’s mother Kathryn (Wendie Malick) hears about Oliver’s heartbreak, she tries to soothe his pain and introduces him to her old boyfriend, Dan, who is not as she remembers. Dan looks terrific in silk pajamas — but he has a thing for cats.
Dan is portrayed by Gregory Harrison. He’s known for his roles on Chesapeake Shores (Thomas O’Brien), Rizzoli & Isles (Ron Hanson), One Tree Hill (Paul Norris), Falcon Crest (Michael Sharpe), Trapper John, M.D. (Dr. George Alonzo “Gonzo” Gates), and in the Signed, Sealed, Delivered TV movies (Joe O’Toole), among many others. Fun fact: Harrison and Malick co-starred in the 2013 Hallmark Channel TV movie After All These Years. American Housewife airs Wednesdays at 8:30 pm on ABC.
