The Lifetime TV movie “The Christmas Contract” is a One Tree Hill reunion. Four of the actors from the One Tree Hill cast – Hilarie Burton (Peyton), Danneel Ackles (Rrachel), Robert Buckley (Clay), and Antwon Tanner (Skills) – shot the movie in Louisiana in three weeks. The movie is about Jolie (Burton), a newly single woman who is not looking forward to going home for the holidays because her ex-boyfriend is going to be there with his new girlfriend. She decides to bring her friend’s (Ackles) brother Jack (Buckley) with her as a buffer. Jack in return gets a website to sell Jack’s novel. The couple sign a contract to seal the deal. During her stay at home, Jolie is comforted by her mother who’s portrayed by Cheryl Ladd. (Note: Ladd’s real life daughter Jordan Ladd is in the film too!)
[Ladd was in Poison Ivy with Drew Barrymore]
Cheryl Ladd is best known for her role as Kris Munroe on Charlie’s Angels. Ladd is also recognized for her roles on American Crime Story (Linell Shapiro), Las Vegas (Jillian Deline), One West Waikiki (Holli Holliday), and as the voice of Melody in the 1970s cartoon Josie and the Pussycats, among others. The Christmas Contract premieres on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22 at 8 pm.
