In the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood episode “Pretty Hurts,” while Paris exposes another secret about Teairra’s new man Akbar, Cisco’s ex-girlfriend Amber Diamond shows up. She’s reintroducing herself as a singer and music producer RoccStar has taken notice. RoccStar originally thought he could mix business with pleasure when it came to launching Amber Diamond’s music career, but then he met her mother/manager, Shun Love, who looks more like Amber’s sister than mother. When they meet, Shun Love doesn’t waste anytime with RoccStar.
“I’m trying to figure out how to make her a star and get an EP done,” she tells him. “Well, you came to the right place,” he says with a smile. He suggests getting paid $100,000 for one track. Shun Love pulls out $20,000 in cash from her purse and hands it to RoccStar who realizes “20 racks for an hour of my time isn’t a bad day’s work.” And, Shun promises to deliver another $20,000 when the EP is completed. RoccStar explains the $40,000 is for the single. (An EP is seven tracks.) He promises the single will make it to the Top 40 and Billboard.
VH1 describes Shun Love this way: “a fierce and fabulous club and concert promoter from the Dirty South, Shun Love has worked with the likes of Future and Gucci Mane, but now she’s determined to build a family empire.” Shu Love is a three-time teen mom, who hopes to take Kris Jenner’s spot as Hollywood’s reigning “momager.” Love & Hip Hop Hollywoodairs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
