The premise for the TV movie Trapped Sisters is a strange one reportedly “inspired by true events.” At an Olympic-sized public pool, two sisters Bree (Nora-Jane Noone) and Jonna (Alexandra Park) dry off. But when Bree sees her engagement ring at the bottom of the 12 foot pool, she dives in. Her sister Joanna follows to help. Before it’s too late, the sisters are trapped under the fiberglass cover and the pool has just closed for a long holiday weekend. They think they’re saved from the surrounding 100,000 gallons of water when they see the night janitor Clara, but she’s deranged. Or as Lifetime describes her, one “who sees the trapped sisters as an opportunity to solve a few problems of her own.”
