Before The Cut round on World of Dance, five dance acts remain in the Junior division: Diana Pombo, Eva Igo, ImmaBEAST, The Lab, and The Mihacevich Sisters. While the Mihacevich Sisters won their duel against D’Angelo & Amanda, World of Dance judge Jennifer Lopez warned the girls about being repetitious. She doesn’t want to see the same performance over and over again. What JLo and the audience didn’t know is that Chloe Mihacevich was injured.
According to the Mihacevich Sisters’ mother who runs their Facebook account, the girls wouldn’t have advanced without their choreographer Cassie Dzienny who had to re-choreograph the piece in order to accommodate the fact that Chloe couldn’t move 24 hours before taping the show. “If you watch closely,” the mom writes, “you will see how Chloe barely lifted her one arm. How stationary she was. If you look now you will notice — but because of Cassie’s brilliance World of Dance could air the piece without even letting anyone know it happened.” Expect more dynamic choreography for the Mihacevich Sisters’ piece for The Cut round – it involves a sofa! World of Dance airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after America’s Got Talent.
