In the Chicago Fire episode ‘Take a Knee’, while Casey (Jesse Spencer) finds a new crack house on the block, and Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) train a new guy, Severide (Taylor Kinney) gets an unexpected visit from his father Benny. After Benny tells his son his wife kicked him out a few months ago; Severide tells his father there is a woman in his life. Benny invites the couple for a steak dinner.
Benny Severide is portrayed by Treat Williams. He’s known for his roles on the TV shows Chesapeake Shores (Mick O’Brien), American Odyssey (Colonel Stephen Glen), White Collar (James Bennett), Heartland (Dr. Nathaniel Grant), and Everwood (Dr. Andy Brown), among others. Williams is also recognized for his roles in films including Hair (George Berger), Smooth Talk (Arnold Friend), and the TV movie A Streetcar Named Desire (Stanley).
