In the Supergirl episode ‘Supergirl Lives’, Kara (Melissa Benoist) investigates the disappearance of Izzy (Harley Quinn Smith). Kara is warned by Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez) to leave the story alone and for good reasons. While snooping around with Mon-El, Kara is thrust through a portal to another planet. On the planet, Roulette (Dichen Lachman) is in charge and she’s running a slave trafficking ring.
Izzy is portrayed by 17-year-old Harley Quinn Smith, daughter of Kevin Smith, director of this Supergirl episode. She has appeared in many of her father’s films, including Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (Baby Silent Bob), Jersey Girl, Clerks II, Tusk, and most recently Yoga Hosers. Fun fact: She’s named after the Joker’s sidekick Harley Quinn from Batman. Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm on CW.
