In the How to Get Away with Murder episode ‘We’re Bad People’, while Annalise (Viola Davis) sits in jail, the rest of the Keating 5 mourn the death of Wes (Alfred “Alfie” Enoch, Dean Thomas from the Harry Potter movies) whose body was found inside Annalise’s burned down house.
Executive producer Pete Nowalk said the decision to kill off Wes was “horrible.” But he did because Wes “is the heart of the show, and really I wanted to do something that felt impactful, and it impacts every character.” He adds, “I really wanted something to change the DNA of the show.” While struggling with the decision, Nowalk said he was reminded of what HTGAWM creator Shonda Rhimes once told him, to “Go toward the terror.” How To Get Away With Murder returns Thursday, January 26 at 10pm on ABC.
