The good guys of the new TV drama Timeless include Lucy Preston historian (Abigail Spencer), scientist Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) and a soldier Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter). All three are called together by Homeland Security which asks them to work together — to go back in time — and chase down bad guy Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic), who stole a time-machine and traveled to 1937 Lakehurst, New Jersey, where the Hindenburg, the German passenger zeppelin crashed and changed the history of aviation.
Abigail Spencer is known for her roles on Suits (Dana Scott), Rectify (Amantha Holden), True Detective (Gena Brune), Hawthorne (Dr. Erin Jameson), Mad Men (Suzanne Farrell), and All My Children (Becca Tyree), among others. Spencer is also recognized for her roles in the films Oz the Great and Powerful (May) and Cowboys & Aliens (Alice). She will appear next on the big screen in the star-studded The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards based on Robert Boswell’s stories. Timeless airs Mondays at 10pm on NBC.
