Hollywood movie star Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys, Big Momma’s House) is back doing standup and luckily Showtime filmed it. Live at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, Lawrence talks about everything from meeting President Obama at the White House (“When he saw me he was like, ‘Wazzzzz Up?’) to why everyone’s giving America’s dad Bill Cosby a hard time.
In a teaser for the show, fellow funnyman Tracy Morgan says to Lawrence: “Glad to see you out there doing your thing.” The Martin Lawrence: Doin’ Time comedy tour includes 10 stops. In October he’ll be in Las Vegas; Jacksonville, FL; Augusta, GA; and Valley Center, CA. In November: Windsor, Ontario; Albany, NY; Mashantucket, CT, and Bethlehem, PA. In December he’s doing two shows at Caesars in Atlantic City. Martin Lawrence: Doin’ Time: Uncut will air Friday, September 9 at 9pm on Showtime.
