In The Catch episode “The Trail,” Valerie’s (Rose Rollins) soon-to-be ex-husband Gordon Bailey hires the team. He wants them to look into Celinex, a big pharmaceutical company that ran an MS clinical trial that put Gordon’s sister Susan (Amanda Foreman) and 15 other patients into the ICU. Some were paralyzed, some went blind, one fell into a coma. Celinex said there were no previous side effects; Gordon wants the team to prove that they were lying.
Gordon Bailey is portrayed by Alan Ruck. He’s known for his roles on The Middle (Axl’s boss, Kershaw), Mad About You (Lane Brockwell), and Spin City (Stuart Bondek). Ruck is also well recognized for his roles in the films Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Matthew Broderick’s best friend Cameron), Young Guns II (Hendry), Speed (Stephens), Star Trek: Generations (Capt. Harriman), and Twister (“Rabbit”), among others. The Catch airs Thursdays at 10pm on ABC.
