On the New Girl episode “The Apartment,” while Cece (Hannah Simone) moves into the loft, her new roommate Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is having a hard time at work. Jess is scrambling to finish the school’s budget while the demanding (and sexy) principal Becky Cavatappi is breathing down her neck.
Principal Becky Cavatappi is portrayed by Elizabeth Berkley. She’s best known for her roles on CSI: Miami (Julia Winston), The L Word (Kelly Wentworth), Saved by the Bell (Jessie Spano), and for starring in the film Showgirls (Nomi Malone). Berkley is married to actor Greg Lauren (Boogie Nights, Batman & Robin), and is the mother of son Sky Cole Lauren. She is also the author of Ask Elizabeth: Real Answers to Everything You Secretly Wanted to Ask About Love, Friends, Your Body…and Life in General. New Girl airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
