Who Is Pierre on War and Peace on Lifetime?

In the premiere of War and Peace, the TV series based on Leo Tolstoy’s epic novel, the central character Pierre Bezukhov inherits his father’s fortune. The inheritance and all that comes with it – his position in society – turns his world upside down and he has a hard time controlling his emotions and sexual passions which gets him (and his fortune) into trouble.

Pierre is portrayed by Paul Dano. He’s best known for his roles in the films Little Miss Sunshine (Dwayne the brother), Fast Food Nation (Brian), There Will Be Blood (Paul Sunday/Eli Sunday), Cowboys & Aliens (Percy Dolarhyde), and 12 Years a Slave (Tibeats).
