Two of the former contestants on The Bachelor (the Chris Soules season), Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe, are now vying to become The Bachelorette. ABC selected 25 men to compete. They will get to determine which of the two women stays on the show. Compared to Nilsson, Bristowe is easy/simple. Nilsson is complex – she can’t live without her Bible, and she reads serious literature including books by David Foster Wallace and Dave Eggers.
For those who don’t remember Bristowe from The Bachelor, she’s the 29-year-old dance instructor from Vancouver. When asked what she would do if she won the lottery, Bristowe said she would “buy an island and make it into a land of pirates. It would be called Yarrrland.” It’s a fun answer for a fun question. Nilsson, on the other hand, said she’d given a big chunk to charity. Which do you think The Bachelors will vote for? The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC at 9pm EST.
