The iconic singer, actress, director, political advocate Barbra Streisand is writing a memoir. Viking said the book which will cover Streisand’s entire life and career, will be released in 2017.
More than 50 books have been published about Streisand’s life — but they are all, according to Streisand’s publisher Brian Tart, “full of myths and inaccuracies.” One of them was the 2012 book “Hello, Gorgeous” by William J. Mann. The New York Times reviewer James Gavin wrote: “dozens of books have wrung the Streisand myth dry, none with her cooperation (and all to her annoyance).” Gavin would be a great candidate to help Streisand write the memoir. He is the author of “Stormy Weather: The Life of Lena Horne.”
