On the HBO series Togetherness, Brett (Mark Duplass) discovers a woman lying on the ground while he’s on his morning hike. He assumes she’s dead (she’s covered in leaves and branches) but it turns out she was only “connecting with her death.” The hippy, New Age woman, Linda, is played by Academy Award-winning actress Mary Steenburgen (Parenthood, Philadelphia, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Elf, The Help, Melvin and Howard).
At 62, Mary Steenburgen is killing it on TV. She joined the Netflix hit series Orange Is the New Black, as Pornstache’s mother. And she has a role in Will Forte’s forthcoming show, The Last Man on Earth, to premiere on Sunday, March 1 at 9pm on Fox.
