Seven couples are left on this season’s Dancing With the Stars. On the Monday, November 3, all of the dancers will take on identities of iconic duos. Janel and Val will perform a romantic contemporary dance set to the epic love story of Romeo and Juliet. Bethany Mota and Derek Hough will be Lucy & Ricky Ricardo; Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev will be Bonnie & Clyde; Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater will be Jane & Tarzan; Sadie Robertson & Mark Ballas are keeping it biblical with Adam & Eve; and Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd will walk the line as Johnny & June Cash.
The only couple to choose a same-sex duo is Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson — they’ll dance as Batman and Robin. Alfonso will likely take on the Batman role but what if he didn’t? What if Witney got to don the Batman cape instead of the elfin vest? They’re certainly in a position to stir the cultural pot. Ribeiro and Carson are the couple to beat. Remember: on November 3, the couple with the lowest combined score from the judges and America’s vote will be eliminated.
