WWE wrestler Dean Ambrose took off almost a month from wrestling to film the action thriller, Lockdown. But you won’t see his name in the credits. You’ll see Jonathan Good, Ambrose’s real name. Lockdown is the second film in a six-film deal between WWE Studios and Lionsgate.
Lockdown, which is directed by Stephen Reynolds (Tomb Raider Ascension), follows a police officer – a good cop who “returns to duty after recovering from a gunshot wound to discover incriminating evidence of illegal activities against those closest to him. He quickly finds himself trapped inside his own precinct, hunted and in search of the truth, as the crooked cops stop at nothing to recover the evidence.” No word yet if Ambrose will play a good guy or bad guy. But he’s in fine acting company: Daniel Cudmore of X-Men and the versatile Lochlyn Munro (Scary Movie, Unforgiven, White Chicks) will also star.
