The suspense thriller film inspired by true events, Reclaim, stars a straggly-haired John Cusack who runs a shady adoption agency in Puerto Rico. Once on the island nation, the soon-to-be-adoptive-parents (Ryan Phillippe and Rachelle Lefevre) of a 7-year-old Haitian orphan girl (Briana Roy) discover they’ve been lured into a black-market adoption scam.
Extortion, kidnapping and car chases ensue—and a (literal) cliffhanger at the end leaves anyone who’s ever considered adoption breathless. Reclaim will hit theaters and on demand September 19.
