King Kong will return to theaters in the fall of 2016, Legendary Pictures announced at Comic Con. The world’s most famous gigantic gorilla will travel back to his origins on Skull Island. It’s sure to be as fantastic and exotic a place as Jurassic World. Legendary said: “Previous works have touched on the island, but staying and exploring this mysterious and dangerous place offers Legendary the opportunity to take audiences deeper.” The first King Kong movie came out in 1933.
Legendary also announced more of the pieces that will be featured in Godzilla 2, including Mothra, King Ghidorah and Rodan. Will Godzilla be one of the wild creatures that shows up on Skull Island? If there’s Batman v Superman doesn’t if follow that there’s King Kong v Godzilla?
