Hollywood movie star Elizabeth Banks is known for many roles — one of her most iconic is Effie Trinket in the Hunger Games film franchise with Jennifer Lawrence. Effie is a chaperone who oversees District 12’s tributes in the Hunger Games, specifically Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in the 74th and 75th Games.
Last night, when Banks shared the closeup photo below, of her raising her arm to reveal a giant bruise, she wrote: “Late night archery bruise update. I feel it’s moving in the healing direction. Blessings to all.”
Note: Katniss uses a bow to hunt for food in the woods outside of District 12 and it becomes her weapon of choice during the 74th and 75th Hunger Games.
Banks’s fans are going wild over her bruised arm: many are giving medical advice including “you need arnica.” Arnica is an herbal remedy used to reduce swelling, alleviate pain, and act like an antibiotic.
When professional bowhunter Cameron Hanes saw Banks’s selfie, he replied: “We can fix that issue with the right bow. Let’s lift, run and shoot.”
