Actress/author Justine Bateman is best known for her role as Mallory Keaton on the popular 1980s family sitcom Family Ties with Michael J. Fox, who played her smart, conservative brother Alex P. Keaton. (Her real-life brother is Ozarks star Jason Bateman.) Now 55, Justine is making her directorial debut with the independent film Violet starring Olivia Munn. Justine wrote the script, too. Watch the trailer below.
While promoting the film at the Toronto International Film Festival, Justine rocked a stunning blue mini dress with a Canada Goose cropped puffer jacket and knee-high boots. That dress was made by Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) graduate Mimi Prober. The organic-cotton dress was hand tie-dyed in Pennsylvania with locally grown indigo and is trimmed in floral lace. As one fan replied: “Smoking hot!”
The voice in Violet is provided by Justin Theroux.
