In the Schooled episode “The Pokemon Society,” while Coach Mellor (Bryan Callen) encourages Toby (Mason McNulty) to be competitive in CB’s Pokemon Club, Lainey (AJ Michalka) supplements her teacher salary by getting a job at the local video store and learns an important lesson from working with employee Andre.
Andre is portrayed by actor Martin Starr, who is best known for his roles on Silicon Valley (Bertram Gilfoyle), Life In Pieces (landscaper Oscar), and Freaks and Geeks (Bill Haverchuck), among many others. Fun fact: He’s in Aly & AJ’s music video “Star Maps,” as is Callen and The Goldbergs star Wendi McLendon-Covey, see below.
