On the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “The Burden of Our Choices,” NYPD Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) clashes with the parents of a pregnant 13-year-old who runs away from her home in Ohio and arrives in New York City to get an abortion. (The girl’s parents want her to have the baby. In court, Rollins is accused of helping the teen facilitate murder.)
This episode also welcomes NYPD Detective Katriona “Kat” Azar Tamin to the SVU unit. In the last episode, “I’m Going to Make You a Star,” Tamin went undercover to help arrest a famous Hollywood director for attempted rape. Officer Kat Tamin is portrayed by Jamie Gray Hyder.
