On the Teen Mom OG episode “Baby Fever,” Amber Portwood and her husband Andrew celebrate the first birthday of their son James. At their home, they throw a party, and invite Amber’s mom, Amber’s 10-year-old daughter Leah, and Leah’s father Gary Shirley and his family.
While cleaning up the torn wrapping paper, according to MTV, Amber “spills a secret that surprises their guests.” She says she’s five days late and announces “I might be pregnant again.” Andrew quietly beams with pride as Gary starts biting his fingernails, and Leah frowns. Watch the little girl’s reaction in the video at the 2:16 mark. It’s heartbreaking.
When Gary’s wife asks Amber if she was on birth control, Amber says no. “When you find a good man, you’re like, you know, ‘it’s okay.'” She laughs and then walks into the kitchen and gives Andrew a dramatic kiss. Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9 pm on Bravo.
