Meanwhile, Lucious, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), Teri (Meta Golding) pray for Andre’s health at church. During the service, one female singer in the choir steps up and steals the show. At the 2015 Chicago Music Awards, Tina Jenkins Crawley was named “Best Gospel Entertainer of the Year.” The spirited soprano and graduate of Eastern Illinois University has served as vocal director for the Willow Creek Association’s Global Leadership Summit and the Global Leadership Summit – International for several years.
She released a compelling debut CD, “The Longest Journey,” in 2012 (see link above). Empire airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on FOX, right before Star.
