On the Bull episode “Don’t Say a Word,”Bull’s (Michael Weatherly) romantic rival, defense attorney Diana Lindsay (Jill Flint), jeopardizes her career when she asks Bull to help a couple fight against her former client Derek Reed (Darren Pettie) for custody of their two grandchildren. Derek was accused of killing his wife (the girls’ mother) and Lindsay got him off. When Reed tries to get full custody of the kids, the dead wife’s parents, Sandy and Victor Harper, will do anything to get in his way.

The grandmother, Sandy Harper, is portrayed by actress Debra Monk. The Emmy Award-winner is known for her roles on NYPD (Andy’s ex-wife Katie Spiowicz), Dietland (Mrs. Kettle), Mozart in the Jungle (Betty Cragdale), Grey’s Anatomy (Louise O’Malley), and in dozens of films including The Producers (Lick Me-Bite Me), The Bridges of Madison County (Madge), The Devil’s Advocate (Pam Garrety), Bulworth (Helen), and Quiz Show, among others.

The grandfather, Victor Harper, is portrayed by actor Adam LeFevre. He’s known for his roles in movies including The Manchurian Candidate with Denzel Washington (Congressman Healy, see link above), The Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston, The Bonfire of the Vanities with Tom Hanks, The Ref with Denis Leary, Gold and Fool’s Gold with Matthew McConaughy, and She’s’ Out of My League (Mr. Kettner), among many others.
