Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer (The Help) attended the 91st Academy Awards ceremony on February 24, 2019. Spencer knows the territory, having also been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her roles in The Shape of Water in 2018 and Hidden Figures in 2017. This year Spencer graced the Oscar stage as an executive producer of Green Book which won the Best Picture Oscar.

For the formal event, Spencer wore a stunning blue ball gown designed by Christian Siriano and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz (dangling diamond, emerald and sapphire earrings, and a giant emerald ring). One day after the Oscars, Spencer gave thanks to her fashion entourage before she “gives back the diamond slippers,” a reference to Cinderella (see photo below).
