The Lifetime movie Every Day Is Christmas is inspired by the classic story “A Christmas Carol.” Alexis Taylor (multi-Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton) is a shrewd businesswoman, a money manager who demands that everyone in her office show up at work on Christmas Day. But on Christmas Eve, Alexis is visited by her mother who died 20 years ago. The visit provokes Alexis to change her ways and find love (Michael Jai White).
Alexis’ mom is portrayed by actress Gloria Reuben. She’s known for her roles on Blindspot (Kira Evans), Mr. Robot (Dr. Krista Gordon), Saints & Sinners (Mayor Clayborne), Falling Skies (Marina), Raising the Bar (Rosaline Whitman), ER (Jeanie Boulet), and The Agency (Lisa Fabrizzi), among others. Fun fact: Reuben is a singer, too. She sang backup vocals for Tina Turner on her Twenty Four Seven Tour in 2000. See video below.
