In the Season 2 premiere of 9-1-1, it’s the hottest day of the year which has the first responders ready for the worst. There doesn’t seem to be a break in the drama. Even at the fire house. Firefighter Buck (Oliver Stark) is shaken when the handsome new hire Eddie Diaz (Ryan Guzman, Pretty Little Liars) threatens his chance of being featured in the fireman calendar. And then Buck gets a surprise visit from his sister Maddie, who is the new dispatcher at the 9-1-1 call center now. (Sorry, Connie Britton is no longer on the show!)
Buck’s sister Maddie is portrayed by Jennifer Love Hewitt. She’s known for her roles on Criminal Minds (Kate Callahan), The Client List (Riley Parks), Ghost Whisperer (Melinda Gordon), Party of Five (Sarah Reeves), and in the I Know What You Did Last Summer movies (Julie James), and Heartbreakers with Gene Hackman and Sigourney Weaver, among others. 9-1-1 airs Sundays at 8pm on FOX.
