In The Real Housewives of Potomac episode “That’s Scentertainment,” the ladies gather for dinner and Karen Huger and Robyn Dixon go at it. Robyn wants to know why Karen thinks she’s not intelligent. “I have a college degree, do you?” Robyn asks. Karen admits that she does not. “I refused mine,” Karen proclaims. She explains, “My parents offered it to me and I walked away from it, because I was an entrepreneur.” Gizelle Bryant can’t wait to pounce on that. “I never knew Karen to have a job although she did tell us once that she worked at Taco Bell.”
Karen, the wife of the Black Bill Gates, seems to believe that a college education is given not earned. Anyway, her new business is a fragrance line. She explains that she’s in the discovery phase. “So you’re coming in on the ground level,” she explains to her friends, one of whom (Candiace Dillard) mutters “Sooo shady.” P.S. Karen’s husband Raymond Huger did not refuse his college degree. He earned a BA from Baruch College and an MBA from Fordham University. The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Mondays at 8pm on Bravo.
