In The Blacklist episode “The Capricorn Killer,” Liz (Megan Boone) continues to explore her darker impulses in therapy with Dr. Fulton (Martha Plimpton). Meanwhile the Task Force continues to take action to bring down Tom’s killers within the legal system. In one scene, Federal Agent Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison) shows up at the police station to see a witness. He’s surprised to see Ian Garvey (Jonny Coyne) there — Garvey claims to be a U.S. Marshall. He says he’ll take over the interrogation and will send Aram a transcript. Aram turns down the offer and announces that he’s putting the witness in protective custody. Ian Garvey doesn’t not like that idea.
Garvey gets in Aram’s face and whispers, “How about we go outside and I kick your scrawny brown ass, and then take my witness.” Aram takes a short breath and then delivers this line with aplomb: “First of all, it’s more of a golden brown. It’s a topaz, topaz really.” Kudos to the writers of The Blacklist which airs Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
