In the Lifetime movie Web Cam Girls, high school student Alex (Sedona Legge) learns that her “hot mess” cousin Carolyn (Lorynn York) is making money by getting sexy in front of a web cam. It’s called “camming” and Carolyn is making serious dough as “Naughty Mary.” But when Carolyn goes missing, Alex thinks the worst — that Carolyn has dared to meet one of her clients in person. Alex is right, and turns to her mother Rachel for help in saving Carolyn from a violent man.
Alex’s mother Rachel is portrayed by Arianne Zucker. She’s best known for her role as Nicole Walker on the soap opera Days of Our Lives (1998-2017). (For her role as Nicole, Zucker has nominated for 3 Daytime Emmys: in 2010, 2013 and 2014.) Zucker told her Days fans: “Soaps have kidnappings and detective issues and comas and accidents, so I think it’s [Web Cam Girls] the same kind of vibe. It just happens faster in a two-hour movie. I think that’s the draw.” Web Cam Girls premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, December 30 at 8pm.
