In the WAGS episode “50 Shades of Shade,” while Natalie Halcro gives dating another try, Barbie Blank sees a therapist “in hopes of getting her marriage back on track.” Barbie, the 30-year-old former WWE star (aka Kelly Kelly), married professional hockey player Sheldon Souray, 41, in February 2016 in Mexico. In October, Barbie confirmed that she and Souray had split and said “Sheldon and I have decided that it’s best we take some time apart to work on ourselves at this time.” This was Souray’s second marriage. He was formerly married to Playboy model and Baywatch actress Angelica Bridges, mother of his two daughters.
Hours before the episode airs, Barbie posted a photo of her side-by-side with a photo of her mother Robin when she was Barbie’s age — with the hashtag #getitfrommymama. One day before that, Barbie’s mom posted a photo of a pro hockey player at a Jacksonville Icemen game (the team’s first season!) and wrote “at the game watching them tear the Gladiators up!” WAGS airs Sundays at 10pm on E!
