After the Season 11 premiere episode of The Big Bang Theory, CBS will air the first episode of its spin-off Young Sheldon. Set in East Texas, future physicist Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) is 9 years old and living with his very normal family including his high school football coach father George (Lance Barber) and mother Mary (Zoe Perry). Sheldon also receives support from his Meemaw, his “foul-mouthed, hard-drinking grandmother.” (On The Big Bang Theory, Meemaw was portrayed by June Squibb.)
